An absolute goldmine for a high-end vintage hockey collector or die-hard Habs enthusiast! Up for sale is a massive, museum-grade collection of 27 vintage 1940s and 1950s Montreal Canadiens team-issued promotional photos.
These are the legendary, highly collectible black-and-white premium photo sets that the team distributed at the historic Montreal Forum or mailed out to fans during the golden era of the franchise. They feature crisp player portraits and action poses with their original printed facsimile autographs on the front.
The Star-Studded Lineup Includes:
- Maurice "Rocket" Richard (The crown jewel of the collection, an absolute legend)
- Ken Reardon (Two different variations included)
- Billy Reay
- Murph Chamberlain
- Ed Dorohoy
- Ken Mosdell
- Plus 20 other historic roster players from the powerhouse 40s/50s eras
Condition:
Good vintage display condition considering these pieces are roughly 70–80 years old. Most of the photos have clean fronts, straight edges, and excellent clarity. A few pieces show some historic handling, including minor edge fraying, small pinholes from being pinned to a wall decades ago, or light creasing—most notably on the Maurice Richard piece, which adds real authentic character. They have been kept in a pristine, smoke-free home. Selling strictly as a complete collection.
